Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rascal Donkashane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz scores with a jab to the jaw.

Horrible takedown attempt by Donkashane or perhaps it was just good defense by Diaz, which made it look bad.
It seemed like Diaz was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Diaz, as that shot connected.

and Diaz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Diaz moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Diaz uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Donkashane has time to react.
Donkashane has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Donkashane there as he acknowledges the shot.

Diaz dips a shoulder and cracks Donkashane with a mighty uppercut! Donkashane falls back against the cage and Diaz unloads with a barrage of strikes! Donkashane is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Diaz screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Diaz!
During a confident post fight interview, Nick Diaz thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
