Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Methyrr Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall comes to the cage accompanied by Outlaws. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Long as he jumps to the side.
Dall keeps the fight on the outside.
Dall misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Long.
Long shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dall as he jumps to the side.
Dall lands with a kick to the temple. Long shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Long tries to work over Dall's front leg with a kick but Dall checks it.
Long blocks the body kick.
Long shoots in and drives through. Dall sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Long misses with the combination.
A little feinted left hand from Dall on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Long uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dall.
Long walks into a straight right hand from Dall.
Long misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dall tried to counter with a leg kick but Long avoided it.
Methyrr Dall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Long.

and Dall counters with a series of strikes. Long will be more careful next time no doubt.

Long looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dall!
Dall tries to bench press Long off him but Long keeps the position.
Long tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Long working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Dall is trying to control Long's posture but Long avoids it.

Long decides to stand back up.
Dall scores with a hook.
Dall fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A jab from Dall finds it's way through Long's defenses.
Long swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dall drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Long shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Long has closed the distance and engaged Dall in a clinch.
Long is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dall to keep the fight standing.

Dall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dall blocks a head kick by Long.
Long tries a low kick but Dall avoids it.
Dall attempts a counter takedown but Long avoids it well and moves away.
Long tried to score with a low kick but Dall checks it.
Dall half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Dall throws a push kick but Long slaps the foot to one side.
And Long tries to counter it with a takedown but Dall pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Dall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Long is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Dall throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Long misses with a head kick.
Dall connects with a right hand. Long shakes it off.
Long looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dall scores with a jab to the body.
Dall lands a jab to Long's midsection.
Long takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Long swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dall throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Long looks winded!
Dall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dall. Long does a little dance to reset his feet.
Long tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Long throws a leg kick
and Dall counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Long thinking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dall misses with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dall feints a jab promting Long to slip. Dall then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Long slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The fighters circle, before Dall throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Long's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Dall lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
