The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novotas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Byson tries to avoid it but Novotas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Byson to the ground. Byson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Byson shoots in and drives through. Novotas sprawls well.
Novotas shoots in for a takedown but Byson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
