Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antoni Kristofer Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and I Am (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hong comes to the cage accompanied by Super Power. Am has chosen Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Part II as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antoni Kristofer Hong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, I Am!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Hong.
Hong throws a leg kick but Am checks it.
Hong misses the shot to the body.
Am checks a low kick from Hong.
As Hong backs off Am throws a huge counter combo but Hong manages to avoid it all.
Am swinging wildly here.
Hong scores with a hook to the body. Am takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Am tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Am on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Am.
Am has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Am ducks right into an uppercut from Hong.
Hong lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hong throws a solid leg kick but Am takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hong.
Hong definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hong swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Am slips a straight right by Hong.
A little jabbing left from Am on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Am fails to land with a series of punches.
Hong appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Am throws a looping overhand right but Hong ducks down to avoid it.
Am swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Am has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hong.
Am takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Hong shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Am manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hong is looking to advance position but Am has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Am content just to control the position here.
Hong sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Am is working for a kimura but Hong is defending it quite comfortably.
Hong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hong is looking to control Am's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hong avoid being mounted?
Am trying to control from half guard but Hong is working away.
Hong missing with punches from the bottom.
Am is controlling the pace.

Hong gets full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hong is on top in guard.

Hong working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Am's head.
Hong stands up over Am, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hong with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hong postures up.
Am manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hong manages to get himself to full guard.

Hong keeping moving, preventing Am from controlling successfully.

Am slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Am is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hong knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hong is trying to work for a sweep but Am has mounted him!
Am trying to control but Hong is having none of it.
Am might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hong haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Hong is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hong throws a lazy body kick
and Am counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Am looks to score with a jab to the body but Hong is just out of range.
Hong bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Am's head.
Am lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hong circles away quickly and effectively.
Hong throws a low kick but it's checked well by Am.
Antoni Kristofer Hong is winning the standup battle so far.
Hong is looking to score with low kicks.
Am shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hong wants to land a leg kick but Am is out of range.
Hong is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hong takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Am with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Hong to counter with a crisp jab.

Hong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Am looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Am will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hong takes a swing at Am's ribcage but misses.
Hong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Am was well out of range. Poor timing from Hong.
Hong avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hong keeps Am at a distance using the push kick.
Hong scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hong uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hong doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Hong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hong moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromAm.
Hong scores with a jab to the head.
Am swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hong motions for Am to come forward. Hong throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Good work by Am as he checks the leg kick.
As Hong backs off Am throws a huge counter combo but Hong manages to avoid it all.
Am throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Hong counters with a straight right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hong tries to sprawl but Am drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hong is doing well to control the position and prevent Am from advancing to side control.

Am is looking for a kimura but Hong is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Am to get the leverage.
Hong wants to improve his position but Am is controlling well.
Hong is looking to control Am's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hong avoid being mounted?
I Am has got the better of the ground game so far.

Am is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hong defends it well.
Am tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hong knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Am can do to turn this around?

Am is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hong trying to hold on to Am's head to control him but Am postures up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hong works his way to full guard. Good work.

Am drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Am jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Am wants to control from the top but Hong keeps moving.
Am sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hong's guard.
Hong wants to control but Am is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Hong is looking to improve his position.
Hong is trying to maintain the position but Am is very close to passing his half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Antoni Kristofer Hong will probably get the nod.
That's time! Hong's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Hong feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Am's calf.
Am shoots in for a takedown but Hong shows good takedown defense.
Hong lands a nice shot to the body.
Good work by Am as he checks the leg kick.
Hong misses with an uppercut. Am saw that one coming.
The crowd cheers as Hong lands an impressive looking overhand right. Am doesn't seem phased though.

Am throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hong bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Am's head backwards.
Hong fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Am.
Am slips a jab from Hong.

Hong looks to land a body kick but Am moved away.
Hong misses with a hook.
Hong cracks the inside of Am's front leg.
Hong misses with a left hand
and Am makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hong slips a jab and a cross from Am.
Hong cracks Am with a good jab.
Am ducks under a wild hook from Hong.
Am ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hong moves away.
I Am is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hong misses with a double jab
and Am counters with a three punch combo that has Hong backing up. Hong nods at Am to acknowledge the strikes.
Am cracks Hong with a good jab.
Hong throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Hong just misses with a punch to the body.
It seemed like Am was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Antoni Kristofer Hong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hong connects with the punch.
Am tries to move into range but Hong moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
I Am has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Am looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Hong is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Hong tries to pass the half guard into mount. Am knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Am is trying to control but can't.
Am wants to get back to full guard.
Hong is looking to take a break and control but Am is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Am taking some punishment here, with Hong in his half guard.
Hong wants to take a breather but Am is having none of it.
Am keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Am tries to get to full guard but Hong has control of the leg.
Hong looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hong is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Am is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Am misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Am is staying active underneath Hong, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hong working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Am is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hong pulls his head out easily.

Well Hong has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
