Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Henry Pollock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daken Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Pollock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daken Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pollock keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Nakamura takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Nakamura is trying to drag Pollock to the mat but Pollock just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nakamura felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
