The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iwakuma forces Valdez back against the cage and clinches.
Iwakuma manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Valdez trying to control but Iwakuma is working from the bottom.
Iwakuma seems keen to control Valdez's posture.
Iwakuma manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Valdez manages to get himself to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Iwakuma is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Valdez has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Iwakuma is looking to defend but Valdez has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Iwakuma! Valdez pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Iwakuma taps out and this one is all over!
