Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sean Juan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albert Fish!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Juan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fish quickly recovers to half guard.
Fish is concentrating on defense, preventing Juan from advancing position.
Fish is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Juan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fish is just riding it out for now. Juan eventually gives up the hold.

Juan is looking to advance position but Fish won't allow it.
Juan is working hard here to advance position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Juan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Fish wants to improve his position but Juan is controlling well.

Fish keeps trying to improve his position.
Juan is pressing down on Fish's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fish is holding on for now.
Fish wants to control but Juan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Juan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Fish is bucking up trying to escape but Juan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Juan swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Fish is now in Juan's guard. A big mistake from Juan there, giving up the dominant position!
Juan wants to sweep but no luck.

Juan is looking for a triangle here but Fish uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Juan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fish wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Fish is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Juan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Juan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Fish off and has taken his back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Juan working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Fish is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Fish is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Juan gets his way!

You can see the frustration on Fish's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Fish won't enjoy being in this position. Juan looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Fish is tapping - it's over boys! Juan picks up the submission victory!
