Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noe Hooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Beltjack Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Beltjack Jr will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Noe Hooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Beltjack Jr!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beltjack Jr darts in and clinches Hooper up against the cage.
Beltjack Jr scores with a shoulder strike.
Beltjack Jr lands with a short head shot on the inside.


It looks like Noe Hooper has been cut.
Hooper tries to pull guard but Beltjack Jr won't allow it.

Beltjack Jr drags the fight down to the ground.
Hooper prevents Beltjack Jr from getting back to his feet.

Beltjack Jr pushes Hooper off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jack Beltjack Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hooper defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Beltjack Jr.

Beltjack Jr has closed the distance and engaged Hooper in a clinch.
Beltjack Jr jumps guard but Hooper turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Hooper is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Beltjack Jr is defending well.

Beltjack Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hooper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hooper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hooper is looking to stand up but Beltjack Jr won't let him.

Beltjack Jr has his foot on Hooper's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hooper works his way back into a safe position though.
Beltjack Jr seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hooper accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hooper has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Beltjack Jr is proving hard to escape from.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Hooper counters with a three punch combo that has Beltjack Jr backing up. Beltjack Jr nods at Hooper to acknowledge the strikes.
Noe Hooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Beltjack Jr.

Hooper throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Beltjack Jr shoots in but no luck this time.
Beltjack Jr doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hooper counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Beltjack Jr is defended easily by Hooper.

Hooper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hooper throws a left and a right that both miss

and Beltjack Jr holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hooper jumps guard.
Hooper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Beltjack Jr's guard.

Hooper drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hooper jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hooper gets to his feet. Beltjack Jr looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Beltjack Jr shoots in and drives through. Hooper sprawls well.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

A close round but Jack Beltjack Jr will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Noe Hooper's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hooper tries to close the distance and clinch but Beltjack Jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It seemed like Beltjack Jr was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Beltjack Jr throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hooper misses with a two punch combination.
Beltjack Jr shoots and misses
and Hooper counters with a series of strikes. Beltjack Jr will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hooper could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Beltjack Jr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hooper circles away.
Hooper moves in looking to clinch but Beltjack Jr pushes him off.
Hooper misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hooper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Beltjack Jr has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hooper is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Noe Hooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Beltjack Jr.

Hooper has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Beltjack Jr clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hooper tries to clinch but Beltjack Jr is having none of it.

Beltjack Jr has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hooper uses from the top position.

Beltjack Jr looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hooper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Beltjack Jr circles away quickly and effectively.

Hooper is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Jack Beltjack Jr seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Beltjack Jr goes for a takedown attempt but Hooper pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beltjack Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
