The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards tries to score a power double leg takedown but Madness sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Edwards somewhat.
Edwards tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Madness defends well and Edwards ends up having to push Madness into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Madness replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Edwards blocks it well.

Madness drops Edwards with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Edwards looks back up at him and smiles so Madness waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
