Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 82 - 47 - 7, fighting out of Helsinki, James Bomb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Love-Hate Powell!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Powell crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bomb - the referee stops the clock and Powell gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bomb. Powell manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Powell fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bomb misses with a body shot.
Bomb pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Powell throws a jab but it's blocked by Bomb.
Bomb throws a quick counter kick to the body but Powell avoids it.
Bomb moves out of range as Powell strikes.
Powell moves out of range as Bomb throws a body kick.
Powell scores with a jab to the head.
Powell just misses with a punch to the body.
Powell takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Powell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Powell.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Powell has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The crowd cheers as Powell lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bomb doesn't seem phased though.

Powell pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bomb is out of range and Powell settles back down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Powell thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bomb if he has to take too many more of those.
Bomb throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bomb cracks Powell with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

Powell changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Bomb uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Powell.

Powell is fighting to break Bomb's control of his arms but Bomb is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bomb lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Powell has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Powell and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bomb is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bomb is looking to control Powell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bomb avoid being mounted?
Powell throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bomb to regain full guard.

Bomb lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that James Bomb will probably get the nod.

Powell has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Bomb.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Powell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bomb is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bomb, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
