Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hong Giles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hong Giles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Curtis Bradshaw!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Bradshaw gets a double leg takedown into Giles's guard.
Giles lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Bradshaw is looking to stand up but Giles isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bradshaw is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Giles presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Bradshaw on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Giles jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Giles striking off his back but it's not causing Bradshaw any problems.

Giles has his foot on Bradshaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bradshaw works his way back into a safe position though.

Bradshaw is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Giles is striking off his back. Bradshaw thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Giles wants to improve his position but Bradshaw is controlling well.
Bradshaw is thwarting Giles's attempts to control the position.
Giles wants to get back to his feet.
Giles is looking to control Bradshaw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Giles avoid being mounted?
Giles really is a fat lump.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bradshaw blocks the strikes from Giles.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Giles is looking to control Bradshaw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Giles avoid being mounted?

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Giles gets a double leg takedown into Bradshaw's guard.

Bradshaw has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Giles off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Giles gets caught flat footed, as Bradshaw shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Giles manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bradshaw manages to get himself to full guard.

Bradshaw wants to stand and escape but Giles is having none of it.
Giles lands a couple of elbows.

Bradshaw scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Giles.

Bradshaw drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Curtis Bradshaw dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bradshaw gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Giles makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Bradshaw really felt that one!

Giles shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Giles was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Curtis Bradshaw has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bradshaw is trying to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bradshaw is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Bradshaw parries the strikes from Giles easily there. Giles is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bradshaw to escape.

Giles is trying to get an arm triangle but Bradshaw is defending well.

Bradshaw throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Giles is taking a breather. Bradshaw says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bradshaw looks like he's trying to stand up.

Bradshaw tries for a takedown but Giles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Giles is looking to stand back up but Bradshaw counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Giles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Giles thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Giles manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bradshaw manages to get himself to full guard.

Bradshaw is looking to stand up but Giles isn't so interested in that idea.
Giles has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Giles wants to control from the top but Bradshaw keeps moving.

Bradshaw manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bradshaw.

Bradshaw working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Giles scores with a few weak punches.

Giles pushes Bradshaw off and gets back to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hong Giles will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Giles looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Bradshaw makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Hong Giles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Giles drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bradshaw sneaks out the side door and pushes Giles away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bradshaw manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Giles keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Giles crunches a lovely knee into Bradshaw's ribcage.

Bradshaw jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Giles walks away with a smile on his face. Bradshaw gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Giles displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bradshaw.
Bradshaw takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Giles throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bradshaw tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Giles is in Bradshaw's guard.

Bradshaw scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Giles drives through with a takedown into Bradshaw's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Giles slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Giles not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bradshaw tries to kick Giles off but Giles keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Giles drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bradshaw tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Giles looking to control but Bradshaw is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bradshaw squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Giles unloads with some shots from mount but Bradshaw bucks and avoids them well.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Giles cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bradshaw somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

And that's the end of the fight!
Curtis Bradshaw comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bradshaw has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
