The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Padilla tries a head kick but it misses.

Isinya closes the distance and clinches.

A little jabbing left from Isinya on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Padilla takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Isinya uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Padilla.

Padilla wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Isinya has him pressed against the cage.
Padilla really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Isinya breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Isinya is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Isinya seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Padilla is pulling down on Isinya's head. It's preventing any offense from Isinya, at least for the moment.

Isinya has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Padilla is working away from the top position though.

Padilla is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Isinya defends it well.
Isinya tries to kick Padilla off but Padilla keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Isinya is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

That was a close round but I would say that Isaiah Padilla will probably get the nod.

Padilla wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Isinya, who protects the arm well.

Padilla is working to tighten his grip on Isinya's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Isinya has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Padilla is really squeezing tight and eventually Isinya passes out! Padilla breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
