Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Graves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Panthorn Prateung!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prateung doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Prateung tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Graves defends well and Prateung ends up having to push Graves into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Graves appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Graves stuffs the takedown attempt from Prateung. Prateung gets slowly back to his feet.
Graves is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Prateung.

Graves is looking to work some ground and pound but Prateung has wrist control.
Graves has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Graves accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Graves postures up in Prateung's guard and throws a big left but Prateung blocks it.
Prateung is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Graves wanted to stand there but Prateung had control of the position.

Prateung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Prateung doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Prateung is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Graves is aware though and is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Prateung fakes the leg kick and cracks Graves in the body.

Graves scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Prateung tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Graves is staying active underneath Prateung, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That was a close round but I would say that Mario Graves will probably get the nod.

Prateung has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Graves after a bit of a struggle.

Graves's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Graves jumps guard but Prateung stands there with Graves around his waist. Graves gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Prateung has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Graves uses from the top position.
Graves is fighting to break Prateung's control of his arms but Prateung is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Prateung takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Graves gets tackled into the cage by Prateung. Prateung maintains the clinch.
Prateung jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Graves walks away with a smile on his face. Prateung gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Graves leaves Prateung with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Graves wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Prateung rushes Graves and presses him up against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Graves goes for a takedown attempt but Prateung pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Panthorn Prateung showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Graves just misses with a elbow thrown towards Prateung's brow.
Prateung is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Graves to keep the fight standing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Graves takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Graves for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Mario Graves.

Graves gets tackled into the cage by Prateung. Prateung maintains the clinch.

Prateung escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Prateung tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Graves throws a wild body kick that Prateung sees coming a mile off.
Prateung takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Prateung will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Prateung comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Prateung misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Graves misses with an attempted mid kick.
Graves lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Prateung shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Graves but Graves pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Prateung closes the distance and clinches.
The referee is keeping an eye on Graves - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Graves seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Graves is pushing Prateung up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
