Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lawerence Spencer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Carerra!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carerra with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Carerra shoots in but Spencer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carerra is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
No joy there for Spencer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carerra blocks a head kick by Spencer.
Carerra throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Carerra fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spencer throws a right hand that Carerra ducks under and follows up with a left that Carerra also avoids with ease.
Carerra shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Spencer as he jumps to the side.

Carerra takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Carerra tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spencer swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Carerra connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Spencer momentarily.

Carerra tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spencer swivels and escapes.

Spencer connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Carerra moves into the clinch.
Carerra on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Carerra has had enough of the clinch but Spencer keeps him there for the moment.
Carerra drops down looking for an ankle pick but Spencer pulls his leg out and moves away.

Spencer throws a lazy head kick
and Carerra counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Spencer thinking.
Lawerence Spencer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carerra tries a head kick but it misses.
Spencer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Spencer is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Carerra to keep the fight standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Carerra wants to pass to mount but Spencer is defending the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Carerra tries to counter with a clinch but Spencer shakes him off and moves away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Spencer changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
