Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eliseo David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dusan Dzakic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eliseo David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dusan Dzakic!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dzakic gets a takedown into half guard.

David makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Dzakic fails with the takedown
and David counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dzakic throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dzakic pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dzakic has closed the distance and engaged David in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

David breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dzakic attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
David tries to counter by clinching up but Dzakic breaks away and moves out of range.
Dzakic shoots in and drives through. David sprawls well.
David showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dzakic.

Dzakic closes the distance and pushes David back into the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
David really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
David has had enough of the clinch but Dzakic keeps him there for the moment.

David breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
David steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dzakic.
Dzakic looks to land a body kick but David moved away.

David tries to keep at a distance but Dzakic has taken the fight into the clinch.

Dzakic has closed the distance and engaged David in a clinch.
David can't break the clinch.

David breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dzakic tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. David just stands there and leans against the cage.
Eliseo David has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dusan Dzakic.

Dzakic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and David holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

David wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dzakic has him pressed against the cage.
Dzakic drops down looking for an ankle pick but David pulls his leg out and moves away.
David changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dzakic tries to avoid it but David manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dzakic to the ground. Dzakic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dzakic shoots in and drives through. David sprawls well.

David gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

David working for a triangle but Dzakic defends it easily.
David is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dzakic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with David. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

David throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Dzakic trying to stand up but can't free himself from David's guard.

David is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dzakic defends well.
David manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dzakic manages to get himself to full guard.

David lands a couple of digs.
Dzakic wants to stand up but David is controlling him.

David drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and David jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eliseo David will probably get the nod.
That's time! David's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Dzakic clinches.
David looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
David tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dzakic avoids it.

Dzakic is trying hard to land a takedown here. David sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

David shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than David was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dzakic wants to get back to his feet but David is dominant here and he's now got Dzakic's back!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
David is trying to stick to Dzakic's back but Dzakic is turning into David. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in David's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dzakic.

David is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

David lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


David gets to his feet. Dzakic looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

David tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Dzakic manages to circle out of the way.
David shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dzakic sprawls well. Dzakic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. David gets slowly back to his feet.
Dzakic is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Dzakic throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dzakic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
David slips a jab and a cross from Dzakic.
David is looking for a counter combo.
Dzakic misses with a double jab.
David seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Dzakic is breathing heavily.
David stuffs the takedown.

David shoots in but Dzakic avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dzakic shoots in looking for a takedown. David tries to sprawl out of it but Dzakic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. David manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dzakic goes for a double leg but David avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as David continues to drive forward.

Dzakic moves into range and clinches up with David.

David breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dusan Dzakic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by David.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

David wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dzakic, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eliseo David will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


David changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dzakic tries to avoid it but David manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dzakic to the ground. Dzakic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

David shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dzakic's guard.

and David counters with a stiff right hand.
Dzakic swings and misses with a hook to the body.

David shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

David is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

David wants to work for an arm triangle but Dzakic is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Dzakic makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

David is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dzakic's half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for David, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
