Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Murdock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig Jones!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails with the takedown.
Jones looks to land a left hand but Murdock moved out of range nicely.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Murdock tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Murdock manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Murdock sprawls well. Murdock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Michael Murdock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Jones.
Jones goes for a double leg but Murdock avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Murdock continues to drive forward.
Murdock throwing a counter right hand but Jones manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Murdock tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Murdock to the ground. Murdock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jones fails with the takedown.
Craig Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones shoots and misses
and Murdock counters with a leg kick.

Jones looks winded!

Murdock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jones has his takedown stuffed
and Murdock counters with a nice uppercut.
Murdock scores with a three punch combo!
Jones shoots and misses
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Murdock connects with a body shot that sends Jones's belly button to the back.
Murdock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Murdock changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Murdock sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jones walks into a straight right hand from Murdock.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Murdock shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
It looked like Murdock was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jones walks into a jab.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Murdock is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Murdock circles away and we're back to standing.
Murdock fires out a quick counter leg kick but Jones just manages to avoid it.
Murdock gets in close and tags Jones with a short punch that almost sends Jones to the mat! Oh Jones is in big trouble! He turns his back on Murdock, trying to create some distance but Murdock rushes him, striking wildly and Jones goes down! The referee tackles Murdock into the cage to end the fight! Murdock is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Murdock!
