Abarai kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Before I Forget. Da Wrestler Killa has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Renji Abarai's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Renji Abarai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Da Wrestler Killa!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killa keeps the fight on the outside.
Killa moves out of range as Abarai throws a body kick.
Killa moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Killa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Abarai is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Killa.
Abarai on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Killa. Killa obviously looking to wear him down.
Killa has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Abarai is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Abarai tries to close the distance and clinch up but Killa swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Killa lands with a cross.
Da Wrestler Killa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Killa throws a low kick but it's checked well by Abarai.

Abarai closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Killa's guard.
Abarai's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Killa is looking to stand up but Abarai isn't so interested in that idea.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abarai trying to control the position from guard on top but Killa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Killa misses with a body shot.
Abarai seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Abarai shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Abarai was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Abarai trying to control the action but Killa is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Killa is looking for a sweep.

Abarai is working to tighten his grip on Killa's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Killa has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Abarai is really squeezing tight and eventually Killa passes out! Abarai breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Renji Abarai!
