Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baby Ama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazu Kizibuki!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ama clinches with his opponent.
Kizibuki tries a body shot but Ama blocks it.
Kizibuki's coach down at Body Pain_14elite_650$+VM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kizibuki's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kizibuki misses with a hook to the ribs.

Kizibuki jumps into guard, dragging Ama to the mat.
Ama would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Kizibuki is looking for a triangle but Ama pushes his legs off easily.
Ama wants to get up but he can't break Kizibuki's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kizibuki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kizibuki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Kizibuki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ama doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ama manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kizibuki wants to get back to his feet but Ama is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kizibuki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ama is one step ahead there.
Ama trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kizibuki's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kizibuki trying to control the position.
Ama wants to get up but he can't break Kizibuki's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kizibuki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ama is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kizibuki throws a leg kick which misses Ama's front leg but catches the back leg as Ama tries to avoid it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ama lands with a hook. Kizibuki tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.


It looks like Kazu Kizibuki has been cut.
No joy there for Kizibuki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kizibuki dodges the punch combination from Ama.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ama tries to bum rush Kizibuki with a series of wild strikes but Kizibuki uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
An inside leg kick lands from Kizibuki.

Kizibuki gets tackled into the ropes by Ama. Ama maintains the clinch.
Kizibuki misses with a hook from the clinch.

Ama breaks the clinch.
Ama looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ama takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Baby Ama has been cut.
Kizibuki goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Ama gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kizibuki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ama rushes Kizibuki and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kizibuki is trying to break the clinch but Ama has him pressed against the ropes.

Ama pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Baby Ama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ama lands a two punch combo.
Ama lands a nice hook to Kizibuki's body. Kizibuki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Ama instigates a clinch.

Ama manages to break the clinch.

Ama gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Ama pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kizibuki closes the distance and clinches.
Ama lands a hook that snaps the head of Kizibuki backwards.
Kizibuki throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Amas head.
Ama lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Kizibuki throws a knee to the head but misses.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Ama.

Kizibuki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kizibuki slips a jab and a cross from Ama.
Kizibuki wants to counter the offense by Ama and move into the clinch position.
A cross from Ama lands.
Kizibuki misses with a head kick.
Kizibuki looks winded!
Kizibuki throws a body shot but no joy.
Ama connects with a combination that backs up Kizibuki into the ropes. Ama lands a flurry of punches that gets past Kizibuki's guard. Kizibuki is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Ama bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Baby Ama!
