The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power works over Whitehead's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Giuseppe Whitehead has been cut.
Power pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Whitehead rushes Power and presses him up against the cage.
Power swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A head punch on the inside from Power fails to land.
Power throws a punch but it's blocked by Whitehead.
Whitehead goes for a takedown in the clinch but Power prevents it.
Power wants to break free but Whitehead has control.
A frustrated look appears on Power's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Power is trying to break the clinch but Whitehead is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Power is looking to break free of the clinch but Whitehead has double underhooks.
Whitehead scores with a knee to the head.
Power throws a punch but it's blocked by Whitehead.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Power.
Whitehead blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Power escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Power stuns Whitehead with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Whitehead dodges the punch combination from Power.
Whitehead attempts a counter takedown but Power avoids it well and moves away.
Power thows a leg kick but Whitehead checks it

and Whitehead counters with a takedown into side control.
Power bucks up and tries to throw Whitehead off but instead Whitehead has got his back!
Power looks winded!
Power is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Whitehead loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Power hold on?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Whitehead working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Power is doing well to defend. Whitehead seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Power is forced to tap and this one is over!
