Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Daniel Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, The Sun God Ra!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ra tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Williams makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Williams closes the distance and clinches.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Ra presses Williams against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Ra is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Williams is defending well for now.

Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ra takes the fight into the clinch.
Ra crunches a lovely knee into Williams's ribcage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

I was talking to Williams's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Ra tries a body shot but Williams blocks it.

Ra tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Williams avoids it.
Ra blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Williams is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ra is keeping busy.

Ra connects with a knee to the head.
Williams lands a hook that snaps the head of Ra backwards.
Ra gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Ra tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Williams avoids it.
Williams lands a left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Williams lands with a right to the head.
Ra swings wildly with an uppercut but Williams uses good head movement to avoid it.

Williams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ra lands a right hook to the body.
Ra works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ra tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Ra catches Williams napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Williams to the canvas!


Williams is rocked!
Ra trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.
Oh Williams is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ra tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard.
Williams is trying to keep Ra in close.
Williams seems to have got his legs back now.

Ra won't allow Williams to get back to his feet.
Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ra throwing strikes but missing.
Williams is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Williams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ra.
Ra connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ra fails with an attempt to clinch.
Williams feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Williams's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ra connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Williams scrambles back to his feet.

Ra steps into range and cracks Williams with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Williams flops backwards and Ra dives into his guard looking to finish!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williams looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ra postures up in Williams's guard and throws a big left but Williams blocks it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams wriggles free and stands up.
Ra is looking to clinch.

Ra moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Williams goes down! Can Ra finish him!?
Williams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Williams is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ra moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Sun God Ra dominated that round.
That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Ra shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ra misses with a series of wild punches.
Ra misses with a right hand
and Williams counters with a left to the body.
Williams scores with a kick to the body.
Ra throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Williams makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Williams blocks a jab.
Ra scores with a sloppy right hand. Williams should have avoided that one.
Williams has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Ra walks into a left hand.


It looks like The Sun God Ra has been cut.

Williams darts in and clinches Ra up against the cage.
Williams lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ra backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ra fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ra pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Williams is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Nice elbow from Ra.


It looks like Daniel Williams has been cut.

Ra doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ra wants to clinch
and Williams counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A cross from Ra lands.
Williams connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ra throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Williams makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ra throws a one two combo.
Ra misses with a body shot
and Ra takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ra throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease.
Ra might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Ra throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Williams moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Ra takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Ra misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Williams counters with a nice uppercut.
Williams slips under a jab from Ra.
Ra is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Williams.
Ra misses with a left hand
and Williams counters with a body kick that stops Ra in his tracks momentarily.
Williams lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ra tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Williams counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ra on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Williams. Williams obviously looking to wear him down.
Williams swings for the body but Ra moves out of range.
Ra with the counter takedown but Williams avoids it easily.
Ra cracks Williams with a good jab.
Williams tests Ra's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A head kick misses from Williams.
A cross from Williams lands.
Ra misses with a right hand
and Ra takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ra throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Williams counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Ra tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Williams counters with a straight right hand.


Ra is rocked!
Williams cracks Ra on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Ra falls backwards against the cage. Williams follows up with more strikes that drop Ra to his knees. Williams keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Ra! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Williams!
A very excited looking Daniel Williams made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
