Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Blake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson James!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A punch lands to the side of James 's head but he takes it in his stride.


It looks like Tyson James has been cut.

James forces Blake back against the cage and clinches.
James misses with a punch to the body.
Blake lands a body punch.

James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

James has managed to clinch.

James pulls Blake into guard.
James keeping moving, preventing Blake from controlling successfully.
James is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Blake has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

James clinches up against the cage.

James blocks an uppercut.
Blake swings away with an uppercut that misses.

James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Blake moves out of range as James strikes.
James scores with a leg kick.

James moves into the clinch.
James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blake smiles and moves away.
James just misses with a punch to the body.
Blake wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Blake tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.
James pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and James counters with a nice body kick.
James lands with a good body shot.
Blake uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by James.

Blake misses with an uppercut.
Blake looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A jab from Blake finds it's way through James's defenses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for James.
James cracks a nice hook into Blake's ribs.
James fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
James lands a nice looking body shot.
Both fighters circling a little - James finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Blake is breathing heavily.
James moves into range and connects with a jab.
James lands a head kick. Blake smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
James lands a nice looking body shot.
James misses with a wild combination.
Blake wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
James lands a front kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

James lands a big head kick that sends Blake tumbling to the mat! James takes a step backwards and waves Blake back to his feet - he wants the finish!
James dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

James rushes Blake and presses him up against the cage.
Come on James - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
James works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

James has picked Blake up - he's going for a ride! James dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
James looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
James tries to pass to full mount but Blake defends it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
James is looking to pass Blake's guard but actually Blake recovers to full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson James dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


James scores with a push kick.
James throws a combination. Blake tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
James fakes the leg kick and cracks Blake in the body.
Blake will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

James has taken the fight to the clinch.
Nice body punch from Blake - that landed with a thud.
Blake tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
James lands a left hand.
James missing with knees to the body.
Blake misses with some punches.
Blake misses with a body punch.
James is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Blake gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
James is looking to take this one to the mat.
James tries to pull guard but Blake forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jake Blake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson James.
James blocks a punch to the side of the head.

James pulls Blake into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

James is looking to cinch up a triangle. Blake throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to James's body to avoid the submission. James has instead reached around Blake's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! James arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tyson James!
