The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Griffin.
Griffin pushes Smith up against the cage in a clinch.
Griffin tries to throw a body punch but Smith avoids it by throwing Griffin back against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Griffin.
It looks like Robert Smith has been cut.
Smith takes an elbow to the temple.
Griffin lands an elbow inside.
That has opened up Robert Smith's cut even more.
Griffin lands an elbow inside.
Smith goes for a takedown in the clinch but Griffin prevents it.
Smith is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Griffin pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Smith blocks a body shot from Griffin.
Griffin lands an elbow inside that Smith shrugs off.
The cut above Robert Smith's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Griffin gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Robert Smith's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Robert Smith's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
