PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas Terrance Bronie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronie comes to the cage accompanied by Mankind. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nicholas Terrance Bronie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tony Santos!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos moves in looking to clinch but Bronie pushes him off.
A counter left hand to the body from Bronie misses its target.
Santos closes the distance and clinches up with Bronie, looking for a takedown. Santos pushes Bronie against the cage but Bronie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Santos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bronie tries to avoid it but Santos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bronie to the ground. Bronie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bronie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nicholas Terrance Bronie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bronie as he jumps to the side.
Nicholas Terrance Bronie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Santos.

It looks like Tony Santos has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santos wants to control but Bronie is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Santos is rocked!
Bronie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Santos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Santos is still in real trouble! Can Bronie finish him?
Santos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

We've been hearing good reports from Bronie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
