The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers slips a jab from Boggs.
It seemed like Powers was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Boggs throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Powers looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Boggs paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A punch lands to the side of Powers 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Boggs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Powers moves away.
Boggs throws a right and a left that Powers avoids nicely.

Boggs throws a hook to the side of Powers's head but Powers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boggs pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Powers back to the cage. Boggs follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Powers's coach down at Hybrid Fighting Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Powers's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
