Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Beast Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdullah Zaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Abdullah Zaire was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaire blocks a jab.
Boy throws a lazy right hand but Zaire sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Zaire throws a leg kick
and Boy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Boy pushes Zaire away with a front kick.
Zaire lands a nice shot to the body.
Boy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Zaire chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Boy can pounce on him.
Zaire misses with a wild body shot.
Zaire connects with a leg kick. Boy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Zaire takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Boy lands a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zaire takes a swing at Boy's ribcage but misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Zaire.

I was talking to Boy's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Zaire is trying to maintain a safe position but Boy gets an underhook and turns Zaire into the cage.

Zaire is pushing Boy up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Zaire throws a punch but it's blocked by Boy.
Boy is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Zaire is defending well for now.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zaire.

Beast Boy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zaire lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Boy throws a half hearted mid kick.
Zaire misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Boy.
A quick step to the side and Boy tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zaire connects with a body shot that sends Boy's belly button to the back.
Zaire chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Boy can pounce on him.
Boy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Boy moves out of range as Zaire throws a body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Boy was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Boy shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Zaire takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Boy sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Zaire bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
