Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimi Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 8 Mile kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Powell.

It looks like Floyd Patterson has been cut.
Powell throws a poor cross that misses
and Patterson counters with a body kick that stops Powell in his tracks momentarily.
Powell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Patterson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Powell throws a jab but it's blocked by Patterson.

Powell jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Patterson ducks straight into an uppercut from Powell and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Patterson manages to regain guard straight away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Powell throws a strike but Patterson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Patterson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Powell is looking to stand up but Patterson isn't so interested in that idea.

Powell kicks Patterson off and gets to his feet.
Powell wants to clinch up but Patterson keeps it at a distance.
Patterson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Powell rushes Patterson and presses him up against the cage.
Powell wants a takedown but no success here.

Patterson breaks the clinch.
Powell connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Powell moves into the clinch successfully.
Powell has Patterson pushed against the cage.
Patterson wants to get back to striking at distance but Powell won't allow it.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Powell walks into a stiff left hand from Patterson.

Powell takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Powell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Powell gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Patterson thuds his right hand into Powell's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Patterson misses with a low kick.
Powell doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Patterson lands a big uppercut and Powell crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Powell looks OK. Patterson waves Powell back to his feet!

Patterson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Powell throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Patterson counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
