And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Pablo Green!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws a nice looking combination but Barkley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As Green tries to get set, Barkley tries to push him back and clinch up but Green manages to avoid the attempt.
Barkley misses with a wild body shot.

Green closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Barkley has one foot on Green's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Barkley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Nice shot lands for Green.
Green on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Green throws a jab but it's blocked by Barkley.
Barkley moves into range and connects with a jab.
Green tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Barkley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Barkley smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Green throws a hook but Barkley avoids it easily.
Green throws a low kick but it's checked well by Barkley.
Green gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A shot to the liver by Barkley. Beautiful body shot.
Green tries a head kick but it misses.
Barkley lands with a shot to the body.
Green misses with a straight left.
Green lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Barkley looks to score with a jab to the body but Green is just out of range.

and Barkley counters by moving into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Green wants to take the fight to the mat but Barkley manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Barkley is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Green looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Green wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Barkley struggles to land a body shot inside as Green controls his hands.

Barkley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barkley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Barkley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Barkley.
Charles Barkley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Pablo Green.

Green pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Barkley jabs at Green's body.
Barkley throws a body punch but Green moves out of range.
Barkley connects with a body shot.
Barkley lands a glancing blow to the side of Green's head.
Green takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Green walks into a straight right hand from Barkley.

A looping hook to the body misses from Barkley. Green does a little dance to reset his feet.
Barkley checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Green fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Green takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barkley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Green throws out the jab.

Barkley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Green is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Barkley lands a right hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Barkley counters by moving into the clinch.

Green is trying to break the clinch but Barkley has him pressed against the cage.

Barkley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Green. Barkley does a little dance to reset his feet.
Green moves forwards but Barkley connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Barkley feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Green sprawling to the canvas! Green rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Barkley finish him?!

Green is rocked!
Barkley throws a pinpoint strike between Green's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Green crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Barkley scores a great knockout victory!

In his post fight interview, Charles Barkley started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
