The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monira feints and as Nicholson raises his hands in defense, Monira changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Monira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nicholson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Monira got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nicholson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Monira has managed to get both his arms back between Nicholson's legs - danger averted.

It looks like Harley Nicholson has been cut.
Monira sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nicholson's guard.

Monira is looking for a kimura but Nicholson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Monira to get the leverage.
Monira scores with a big shot! Nicholson's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Nicholson! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
