Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sajin Komamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Mercy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Komamura comes to the ring accompanied by Killing In The Name. Melvin Mercy has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sajin Komamura's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sajin Komamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Melvin Mercy!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Komamura misses with a double jab.
Komamura shoots for a takedown but Mercy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A nice side step and Mercy releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Komamura throws a combination. Mercy tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Mercy lands with a kick to the temple. Komamura shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Sajin Komamura has been cut.
Mercy jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Komamura shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Komamura lands a nice short elbow.
Mercy is trying to stand back up but Komamura is controlling him
Mercy has hold of Komamura's hands but Komamura slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Komamura content to control rather than advance.
Komamura lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Komamura wants to take a breather but Mercy is having none of it.
Mercy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Komamura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mercy is trying to stand up here but Komamura is controlling him well.
Komamura is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Komamura is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Komamura seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Komamura stops Mercy from getting back to his feet.
Mercy is not content to let Komamura control the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Komamura drops an elbow to the side of Mercy's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Komamura slips a nice elbow through Mercy's hands, connecting with Mercy's forehead.
Komamura is keen to just control but Mercy is a slippery customer.
Mercy is trying to stand up here but Komamura is controlling him well.

Komamura slows the pace down in half guard.
Komamura is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Komamura will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mercy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Mercy is rocked!
Komamura lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Mercy quite badly. Mercy pulls Komamura in close trying to recover. Komamura postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Mercy on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Mercy doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sajin Komamura!
After winning the bout, Sajin Komamura thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
