Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Amer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steven Richardson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, King Amer!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Amer showed some decent athleticism there.
Richardson tries to kick Amer off in order to stand up. Amer Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Amer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
You can see the frustration on Richardson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Richardson throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Richardson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Richardson sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Amer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Richardson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Amer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Amer's back!

Richardson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Amer has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Richardson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Amer defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Amer is looking to clinch but Richardson is avoiding it.

Richardson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Amer in particular looking to stall.
Amer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Richardson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Steven Richardson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Amer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Richardson's half guard.

Richardson is staying active underneath Amer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Amer gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Richardson regains guard.

Richardson has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Richardson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Amer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Richardson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Amer has managed to get both his arms back between Richardson's legs - danger averted.

Richardson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Amer defends well.
Amer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richardson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Amer is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Amer has hold of one of Richardson's legs. Richardson is fighting the takedown attempt but Amer gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Richardson is wriggling around but Amer manages to pass to half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steven Richardson will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Richardson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Amer is on him like a limpet, forcing Richardson back against the cage.

Amer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A looping hook to the body misses from Richardson. Amer does a little dance to reset his feet.

I would just about give that final round to King Amer.
I think Richardson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
