Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Columbus Delacruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Dunn will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Columbus Delacruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Dunn!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Delacruz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dunn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunn controlling from side mount.
Delacruz tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dunn misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Dunn throwing strikes here but Delacruz is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Dunn goes for an armbar but Delacruz turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Delacruz.
Delacruz really is a fat lump.
Dunn wants to sweep but no luck.

Dunn looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dunn seems keen to control Delacruz's posture.
Delacruz trying to control but Dunn is working from the bottom.

Delacruz is fighting to break Dunn's control of his arms but Dunn is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Dunn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Delacruz is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dunn.
Dunn tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Delacruz easily slips into full mount!
Dunn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Dunn tries to lock up and control but Delacruz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Delacruz fails to land the takedown.

Oooooh!!! Dunn has knocked Delacruz down with a huge combo! Dunn steps away and waves a wobbly Delacruz back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Columbus Delacruz has been cut.
Delacruz wants to clinch.

Delacruz tries to sprawl but Dunn drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Delacruz misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Dunn decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Delacruz wants to clinch up but Dunn keeps it at a distance.
Dunn wants to counter with a clinch but Delacruz pushes him away.

Dunn closes the distance and pushes Delacruz back into the cage.

Dunn manages to break the clinch.
Delacruz takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Dunn gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Dunn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dunn has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Delacruz can't do much from the bottom here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dunn in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Dunn decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Dave Dunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dunn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
You can see the frustration on Delacruz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dunn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Delacruz has escaped the position, nice work there.
Delacruz prevents Dunn from moving into mount.

Delacruz is trying to control Dunn's posture but Dunn avoids it.
Dunn misses with the ground and pound.
Dunn tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Dunn content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Dunn moves into full mount!
Dunn throws some wild stikes that Delacruz manages to avoid easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Delacruz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Dunn controlling from mount.
Delacruz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dunn get's back to his feet.

Dunn shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Delacruz has one foot on Dunn's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Delacruz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Dunn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Dunn rushes Delacruz and presses him up against the cage.
Dunn with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Dunn jumps guard.
Delacruz working some strikes from top position.
Delacruz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dunn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dunn wants to free his trapped foot but Delacruz is holding on for dear life with his legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dunn is looking for a kimura but Delacruz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dunn to get the leverage.
Dunn wants to stand up but Delacruz is controlling the position.
Delacruz is looking to improve his position.

Dunn stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Delacruz to get to his feet.

Delacruz moves into the clinch successfully.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dunn pulls Delacruz into guard.
Dunn throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Dunn pulls Delacruz in close to prevent any damage.
Dunn controls Delacruz momentarily but Delacruz frees himself.

Dunn seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Dunn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dunn scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Dunn closes the distance and clinches.
Dunn stalls.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Dunn manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Dunn is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Dunn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dunn successfully pulls guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Delacruz is in close to Dunn's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Dunn wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Delacruz manages to pass to side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dave Dunn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dunn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
