Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Camatta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins comes into the arena with Wu-Tang Clan - C.R.E.A.M blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Lamont Hawkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Camatta!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins throws a hook to the side of Camatta's head but Camatta sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Camatta flicks out a counter leg kick but Hawkins steps away.
Camatta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hawkins.
Camatta misses with a leg kick
and Hawkins counters with a solid body kick.
Camatta connects with a looping right hand.
Hawkins has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Razor Sharp Training Systems in the buildup to the fight.
Hawkins connects with a good right hand that stumbles Camatta. Camatta circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Camatta creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Hawkins does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That was a close round but I would say that Lamont Hawkins will probably get the nod.

My spies in DJs Locker inform me that Camatta has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

That was a close second round but I would say that Lamont Hawkins will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lamont Hawkins.
I think Hawkins has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
