The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rothwell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Noel manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Noel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rothwell is one step ahead there.
Rothwell landing some decent shots from guard.
Rothwell forces his way into half guard.
Rothwell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Noel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rothwell.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rothwell wants to control but Noel is keeping him busy.

Rothwell lands with a punch from half guard.
Noel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rothwell is trying to control. Noel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Rothwell is controlling the pace.
Rothwell is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Rothwell is stalling here. Noel is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rothwell seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Noel has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Noel could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rothwell is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Rothwell can't do much from the bottom here.
Rothwell is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Noel off and has taken his back!
Noel tries to escape but Rothwell has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Noel is keeping busy.
Rothwell lands strikes to the head.

Rothwell is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Noel knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Noel for a finish.
Rothwell looking to break Noel's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Noel remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Rothwell will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
