Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Geronimo Apache (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apache's entrance music is Eye of the Tiger. A fine choice. Geronimo Apache has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Apache backs up against the cage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Apache looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Apache is trying hard to land a takedown here. McCarthy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Apache has been working on his balance at Kalashnikov MMA Gym ($500/Week - Elite Coaching, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by McCarthy.

Apache is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McCarthy is keeping busy.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McCarthy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Apache stands and steps away. McCarthy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

McCarthy drops Apache with a left and a right! Oh, Apache is hurt - McCarthy dives into side control looking to finish!
