Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Lazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lazar comes to the cage accompanied by Mouth for War. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Cain Velasquez!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lazar has managed to clinch.

Velasquez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lazar tries to counter by clinching up but Velasquez breaks away and moves out of range.
Lazar slips under a jab from Velasquez.

Velasquez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Velasquez cracks Lazar with an open hand slap.
Velasquez smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Lazar counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Velasquez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Velasquez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Velasquez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Velasquez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lazar thuds his right hand into Velasquez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Lazar takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Cain Velasquez seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Good standup being displayed there by Velasquez as he connects with a hook.


Bob Lazar's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Velasquez sends Lazar crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Velasquez is motioning to the referee to let Lazar up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Lazar moves out of range as Velasquez strikes.
It looked like Lazar was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Velasquez.
A combination from Velasquez does no damage.
Velasquez cracks a nice hook into Lazar's ribs.

Velasquez drops Lazar with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lazar looks back up at him and smiles so Velasquez waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Lazar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!


Jeez, Bob Lazar's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bob Lazar's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Cain Velasquez!
Cain Velasquez bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
In defeat, Bob Lazar stepped up to the mic, saying 'This sucks! I let down my family, friends, and team. I will be back better than ever, trust me!'.
