Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Star Dust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ingemar Anders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dust comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Anders has chosen Gods Son as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Dust!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 21 - 2, fighting out of London, Ingemar Anders!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dust fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Dust scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sloppy strikes from Anders. Those never looked like landing.
Dust throwing a counter right hand but Anders manages to avoid it.
Dust throws a leg kick but Anders sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Anders ducks under a wild hook from Dust.
Anders bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Anders has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Anders tries to sprawl but Dust drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anders controls Dust momentarily but Dust frees himself.

Dust postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Anders has momentary wrist control but Dust slips an elbow through the middle.

Dust is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Anders has managed to free his arm - good work.
Dust thows a huge punch but Anders dodges it nicely.
Dust lands strikes from half guard.
Dust is looking to take a break and control but Anders is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dust not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Anders won't allow Dust to pass to mount.
Anders works his way to full guard. Good work.
Anders not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Anders drops his hands momentarily and Dust takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Anders lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dust at a distance.
Dust swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Anders throws a jab when Dust was well out of range.
Anders takes a swing at Dust's ribcage but misses.
Dust throws a low kick but Anders avoids it.
Anders scores with a shot to the body.
Anders lands with a good body shot.

Anders throws out a loose jab but Dust uses good head movement to avoid it.

Star Dust seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Star Dust is winning the standup battle so far.
Dust explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Dust throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Anders avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Dust throws a leg kick which misses Anders's front leg but catches the back leg as Anders tries to avoid it.

and Anders counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dust throws a series of punches but Anders avoids them all with ease.

Anders is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anders stuns Dust with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Dust paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Anders connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Dust walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Anders checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dust.
Anders parries the strikes from Dust easily there. Dust is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Anders to escape.

Dust has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Anders wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dust keeps working.

Anders had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dust defends it easily.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Anders fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dust.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Dust slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Despite the aggression on Anders's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Anders dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dust. That did some damage!
Anders chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dust can pounce on him.

and Anders takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Anders throws a hook but Dust avoids it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Star Dust.
Well Dust has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Star Dust decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
