Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodger Holland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodger Holland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordan Reeves!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reeves shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Reeves was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Reeves working away.
Holland is trying to improve his position.
Holland wants to control but Reeves postures up.
Reeves misses with the ground and pound.
Reeves working away.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holland is being controlled here.
Reeves looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Holland is avoiding damage well.

Reeves tries to move into full mount but can't pass Holland's legs.
Reeves controlling from side mount.
Reeves working away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Holland throws a head kick but Reeves moves out of range.
Holland getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Reeves shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Holland's guard.

Reeves is stalling in the full guard.
Reeves wants to pass the guard but Holland is keeping the position.
Reeves trying to control but Holland is working from the bottom.
Holland is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reeves blocking the ground and pound attempt from Holland.
Holland throwing shots but Reeves is blocking nicely.
Holland throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Reeves to regain full guard.
Holland works over Reeves with some ground and pound from guard.
Holland is fighting to break Reeves's control of his arms but Reeves is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Holland throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reeves works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reeves looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Holland throws a strike but Reeves rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Reeves wants to stand but Holland is controlling his posture from full guard.
Reeves trying to control but Holland is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Reeves trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Holland pulls Reeves in to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Holland tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Reeves bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Holland looks to move to half guard but instead Reeves has passed into mount! Damn!
Holland is trying to reverse the position but instead Reeves has taken his back - oops!
Reeves has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Holland's body.

Reeves is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Holland defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Reeves gets his hands free as Holland looks to control.

Reeves has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Holland's body.

Reeves has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Holland has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Reeves is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Reeves is looking to control Holland but Holland is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Reeves is hanging on to Holland's back as he tries to escape.

Reeves is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Holland is defending well though. Reeves let's go of the attempt for now.
Reeves is not going to allow Holland to sit and survive in this position.
Holland covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Reeves doesn't have the hooks in and Holland manages to turn into his guard.
Reeves wants to stand up but Holland is controlling him.
Reeves is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Reeves utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Reeves has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Reeves tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reeves is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Reeves avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Holland drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reeves manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Holland has Reeves in his guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan Reeves showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Holland's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Holland shoots in looking for a takedown. Reeves tries to sprawl out of it but Holland keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reeves manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Reeves avoids the head kick by Holland.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Holland enables Reeves to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Holland manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Reeves passes into half guard.

Reeves is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Holland sees it coming and defends easily.

Holland is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Reeves creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Holland sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Reeves wants to control but Holland is keeping him busy.
Holland is looking to regain half guard here but Reeves keeps moving and retains side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Reeves has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Reeves has taken the fight to the clinch.

Reeves lands a takedown into guard.

Holland escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reeves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Reeves not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Reeves working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Holland's head.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Holland is on top in guard.

Reeves is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Holland drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reeves manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Holland has Reeves in his guard.

Holland keeping moving, preventing Reeves from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Reeves postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Holland is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Reeves, into his guard.

Reeves wants to stand up but Holland is controlling him.
Rodger Holland has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jordan Reeves is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jordan Reeves comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Reeves winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
