The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kar Ee rushes Oconnor and presses him up against the cage.

Kar Ee drags the fight down to the ground.

Oconnor stands up and waves to Kar Ee to follow him.

Kar Ee tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Oconnor just stands there and leans against the cage.
Oconnor is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kar Ee is defending well for now.

Kar Ee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Oconnor counters with a single leg into guard. Kar Ee didn't expect that.

Kar Ee manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Kar Ee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Oconnor counters by moving into the clinch.

Oconnor is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kar Ee can't fight it off and eventually Oconnor manages to take the fight to the floor. Kar Ee looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kar Ee has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Oconnor is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Oconnor appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Oconnor drops his hands momentarily and Kar Ee takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Oconnor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
