The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yaj fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Elpidio, pushing him back against the cage.

Yaj looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Elpidio lands a body punch in the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Elpidio scores with a nice short uppercut.

Elpidio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Yaj throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Elpidio takes a swing at Yaj's ribcage but misses.

Elpidio swats away the attempt to clinch by Yaj.
Elpidio misses with an uppercut. Yaj saw that one coming.
Elpidio pivots, looking for a leg kick but Yaj is out of range and Elpidio settles back down.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yaj's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Elpidio connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Yaj scrambles back to his feet.
Yaj has been working on his balance at The Fallen Warriors Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Elpidio.
Yaj is looking to clinch.
Yaj wants to clinch up but Elpidio keeps it at a distance.

Oooooh!!! Elpidio has knocked Yaj down with a huge combo! Elpidio steps away and waves a wobbly Yaj back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Elpidio connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Yaj to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Elpidio!
