Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Otumba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: warrior. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Otumba drops his hands momentarily and Ross takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Ross pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Otumba back to the cage. Ross follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ross lands a glancing blow to the side of Otumba's head.
Otumba gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ross works over Otumba's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Stephen Otumba has been cut.
Ross lands a head shot.
Ross throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Otumba changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ross lands with a hook. Otumba tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ross has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Otumba is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Otumba takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ross lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Ross scoring well with a low kick there.
Ross misses with a wild combination.
Otumba feinted with a counter takedown.
Ross punishes Otumba's body with a nice straight punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ross lands a jab.
Nice shot lands for Ross.
Otumba moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Otumba tries to keep at a distance but Ross has taken the fight into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Ross.
Ross creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Otumba with a big uppercut! Otumba tries to clinch up but Ross pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Otumba to the mat! Otumba covers up and Ross unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). James Ross!
James Ross decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
