Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Han Denderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Sharpshooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sharpshooter comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Metallica - Enter Sandman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Han Denderson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rick Sharpshooter's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharpshooter misses with a double jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sharpshooter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sharpshooter fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Denderson is out of range.
Sharpshooter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Denderson gets caught napping as Sharpshooter dives in and scores a takedown. Denderson manages to retain guard.
Denderson has his hands on Sharpshooter's head, controlling the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Denderson holds on and takes a little breather.
Denderson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Denderson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Denderson is on top in guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Denderson wants to control from the top but Sharpshooter keeps moving.

Denderson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Denderson wants to take a breather but Sharpshooter is having none of it.
Denderson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sharpshooter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sharpshooter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Denderson scores with a couple of nice shots.

Denderson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Denderson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sharpshooter can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sharpshooter is rocked!
Denderson loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Sharpshooter scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Denderson land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Denderson stands and salutes the crowd.
