Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jarvis Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nithion Leafshard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Nithion Leafshard enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Leafshard or perhaps it was just good defense by Booth, which made it look bad.
Booth slaps away a takedown attempt from Leafshard, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Leafshard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Booth to the mat! Booth manages to get full guard.
Leafshard trying to control but Booth is working from the bottom.
Booth controls Leafshard momentarily but Leafshard frees himself.
Leafshard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Booth pulls Leafshard in close to prevent any damage.
Leafshard trying to control the position from guard on top but Booth is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Leafshard stands and throws Booth's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Booth wants to control but Leafshard postures up.
Who's going to make the next move?
Booth stops Leafshard from passing to mount.
Leafshard working away.
Booth controls the position for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Leafshard is trying to get an arm triangle but Booth is defending well.
Booth tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Leafshard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

You can see the frustration on Booth's face as Leafshard controls the position.

Leafshard goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Booth rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Leafshard's guard! Nice work there by Booth!

Booth is pulling down on Leafshard's head. It's preventing any offense from Leafshard, at least for the moment.
Leafshard wants to control from the top but Booth keeps moving.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Booth trying to keep a closed guard but Leafshard is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nithion Leafshard dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Leafshard fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Booth is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Leafshard.

Booth gets a double leg takedown into Leafshard's guard.

Booth wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Leafshard's closed guard. He's half up but Leafshard has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Leafshard pivots and extends the arm, Booth falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Leafshard! Well done that man!
