Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Dann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jax Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Dann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jax Teller!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dann takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Teller closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dann to the mat! Dann manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Teller wants to stand but Dann has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Dann definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Dann avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Dann looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Teller has picked Dann up and slammed him! Dann can't keep hold of the triangle and Teller manages to pass to side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dann manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Teller stalling away here and it's allowed Dann to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Teller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dann keeps working.
Dann is looking for a sweep.

Teller decides to stand back up. Teller steps back and let's Dann get back to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dann.
Teller is letting Dann control him for a moment.
Teller is trying to get back to half guard.

Dann in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Teller is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dann connects with a decent elbow.

Dann working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Dann is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Teller's shoulder. That is not cool.

Dann trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The referee asks Dann politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Dann prefers to stall for the moment though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Teller is looking to regain half guard here but Dann keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Teller is trying to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dann stuffs the takedown attempt from Teller. Teller gets slowly back to his feet.
Dann throws a head kick that misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dann scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Teller wants to control but Dann is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Well, if Dann is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jax Teller will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Teller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dann circles away.
Teller bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Teller shoots in and drives through. Dann sprawls well.

Dann manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Teller on his heels. He'll look to pass Teller's guard now, I'm sure.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dann's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Dann is looking to stand up but Teller won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Teller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Teller wants to take a breather but Dann is having none of it.

Dann trying to hold on to Teller's head to control him but Teller postures up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Teller with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dann keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Teller wants to clinch.
Teller's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Teller duly obliges.

Dann shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Teller manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Teller lands a decent punch to the body there.
Teller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dann manages to get himself to full guard.

Teller wants to stand but Dann has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Dann on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dann tries to get out of the position.

Dann is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Teller defends well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Teller stands and steps away. Dann gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Dann changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Teller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Teller can't do much from the bottom here.
Teller is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dann has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Teller tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dann presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Teller tries to control Dann's body but Dann pushes him off. Teller squirms to his side and now Dann has his back!

A close second round but Jax Teller will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Dann seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Dann takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dann seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Teller for as long as he can get away with.
Teller is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dann content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Teller is staying active underneath Dann, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Teller gets caught napping as Dann dives in and scores a takedown. Teller manages to retain guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Teller manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Teller is trying to pull guard but Dann turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Teller wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Dann.
Teller has had enough of the clinch but Dann keeps him there for the moment.

Dann manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Dann seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Jax Teller is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
