Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kern Dignity (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cale Downes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kern Dignity!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cale Downes!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dignity shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Downes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dignity manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Downes has Dignity in his guard.

Downes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dignity controls the pace.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Dignity lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dignity is nestled in close to Downes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Downes is pressing down on Dignity's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Downes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dignity is one step ahead there.

Dignity scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Dignity is looking to take a break and control but Downes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Downes is trying to control but can't.
Dignity working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Downes has his foot on Dignity's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dignity works his way back into a safe position though.

Dignity got a little sloppy there for a moment and Downes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dignity has managed to get both his arms back between Downes's legs - danger averted.

Downes pushes Dignity off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dignity connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Downes's hands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kern Dignity dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Dignity cracks Downes with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Downes tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Dignity pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Downes is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kern Dignity!
