Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Genaro Petty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcin Tybura!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tybura throws a lazy head kick

and Petty counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Petty decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tybura, up you get!

Tybura uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Tybura is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tybura throws a sloppy head kick and Petty moves out of range easily.

Petty swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

A quick step to the side and Petty tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

so Petty counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Petty content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Tybura working a defensive guard but Petty passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Petty connects with a nice short shot to Tybura's temple.

Marcin Tybura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Petty counters with a shoot takedown. Tybura fights it but they end up in guard.
Tybura is looking to stand back up but Petty counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Tybura.

Petty lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Tybura has a hand on Petty's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Petty takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Petty looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Petty could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Petty lands with some strikes.
BOOM! Petty connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Tybura keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The referee warns Tybura that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Petty scoring with strikes but Tybura is staying in there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Petty is landing with some decent strikes but Tybura is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Petty lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Tybura is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Tybura takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Petty fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Tybura in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Tybura really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petty. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Petty scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Petty lands a nice shot to the head.
Petty has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tybura tries to improve his position but Petty has taken his back! Petty has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Tybura tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Petty pushes Tybura away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
