Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards slips a jab and a cross from Nico.
Nico lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Edwards.
Edwards fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nico bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Edwards's head backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edwards closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nico circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rhys Edwards. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nico misses the jab.

Edwards shoots in looking for a takedown but Nico manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Edwards's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Nico catches Edwards with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Edwards shoots in looking for a takedown. Nico tries to sprawl out of it but Edwards keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nico manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nico throws a shot from downtown. Edwards moves away and avoids it.
Edwards attempts a counter takedown but Nico avoids it well and moves away.
Edwards misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Edwards closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nico circles away.

Nico lands a nice looking body shot.
Nico lands a jab to the nose.
Nico moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nico lands a nice shot to the body.
Edwards ducks under a wild hook from Nico.
Edwards feinted with a counter takedown.
Nico connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Edwards is rocked!

Nico misses with a body shot.
Nico cracks Edwards with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nico has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Edwards to stand back up!
Oh Edwards is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nico cracks Edwards with a left hook right on the temple and Edwards goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Nico lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Edwards is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nicolas Nico!

Rhys Edwards spoke after the fight, saying 'i would have to work harder than this. i truely deserved to lose today my opponent was juse too good'.
