Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Paulik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hussein Stahl!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stahl throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Paulik scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Stahl is trying to improve his position.
Stahl sneaks back into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Paulik in particular looking to stall.
Stahl gets back to full guard.
Stahl controls Paulik momentarily but Paulik frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stahl looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Stahl has control of Paulik's left arm, preventing Paulik from doing any damage.
Paulik has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Stahl is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Stahl controls Paulik momentarily but Paulik frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paulik throws a big right hand that misses.
Stahl wants to sweep here but Paulik controlling him for the moment.

Stahl is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Paulik defends well.

Stahl had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Paulik defends it easily.
Paulik trying to control the position from guard on top but Stahl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Stahl working for a triangle but Paulik defends it easily.
Paulik trying to control but Stahl is working from the bottom.
Stahl is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stahl bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paulik's guard.

Stahl passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Paulik tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Stahl advances to mount.
Paulik is squirming around, avoiding Stahl's attempts to control the action.
Stahl controlling the pace for now.
Stahl throws some wild stikes that Paulik manages to avoid easily.
Paulik is looking to improve his position but Stahl isn't that keen on the idea.

Stahl has isolated one of Paulik's arms. Paulik looking to fight him off but Stahl twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Hussein Stahl was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
