Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Nikki Sixx and Borris Truck. Chooooooooon! I think Sixx might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Life Is Beautiful. Borris Truck told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 0 losses; Nikki Sixx! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 1 losses; Borris Truck!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Sixx decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Sixx (2) vs (0) Truck
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sixx is looking to advance position but Truck won't allow it.
Sixx seems to be working for a kimura but Truck defends the submission attempt.
Sixx is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Truck moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Truck got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sixx has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Truck has managed to get both his arms back between Sixx's legs - danger averted.
Sixx is pulling down on Truck's head. It's preventing any offense from Truck, at least for the moment.

Sixx will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
