The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deal with a hook.
Timal Laffiager seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deal moves in looking to clinch but Laffiager pushes him off.
Laffiager throws a looping overhand right but Deal ducks down to avoid it.
Deal slips under a jab from Laffiager .
Laffiager scores with a leg kick.
Laffiager dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Deal. That did some damage!
Deal throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laffiager misses with a right hand
and Deal counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Laffiager throws a body punch but Deal moves out of range.

The fighters circling - Laffiager throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Laffiager tries to land a leg kick but Deal saw it coming and moves away.
We've been informed that Laffiager has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Laffiager throws a hook but Deal blocks it.

Laffiager is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Deal tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Laffiager tries to keep at a distance but Deal has taken the fight into the clinch.
Laffiager throws a punch but it's blocked by Deal.

Deal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Laffiager throws a series of punches but Deal avoids them all with ease.
Laffiager throws a low kick but it's checked well by Deal.
Deal throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Laffiager stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Laffiager works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Deal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Deal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Deal tries to close the distance and clinch up but Laffiager swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Laffiager scores with a leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Deal clips Laffiager with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Laffiager a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.

Laffiager is rocked!

It looks like Timal Laffiager has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Laffiager tests Deal's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Laffiager is still on wobbly legs! Can Deal finish him?
Laffiager throws a chopping leg kick but Deal manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Deal feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Deal goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Deal clinches.
Laffiager seems to have recovered his senses.

Laffiager breaks the clinch.
Laffiager 's corner calls for a 1-2. Laffiager obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Laffiager throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Deal stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Deal defending well as Laffiager loads up on a big left hand.
Deal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Laffiager throws a leg kick but Deal checks it.
Nice jab there from Deal.
Jab, jab by Deal - just one landing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A looping hook to the body misses from Laffiager . Deal does a little dance to reset his feet.
Laffiager feints and then cracks Deal's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Deal down.
Laffiager misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Deal closes the distance and pushes Laffiager back into the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Laffiager tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Deal scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Laffiager to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
Deal throws a right hand that Laffiager ducks under and follows up with a left that Laffiager also avoids with ease.

Deal drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Laffiager onto his butt! Laffiager pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Laffiager throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laffiager throws a low kick but Deal moves out of range easily.
Laffiager is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Deal doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Laffiager crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Laffiager 's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Deal!
Chris Deal spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
