The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rose counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rose keeps the fight on the outside.

Rose scores with a takedown into Johnson's guard.
Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Rose trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.
Rose passes into half guard.
Johnson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Johnson pushes Rose off looking to stand but Rose dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rose thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Rose is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rose landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Rose perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rose thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rose seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rose is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Johnson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
